Vernissage fredagen den 2/2 kl 17-20
” I mars 2023 deltog jag i grupputställningen ”Station to Station” på Molekyl Gallery med två teckningar under projektnamnet ”Human Printer”. De teckningar och skulpturer som jag nu visar är en fortsättning och fördjupning på det arbetet. Jag sätter ofta upp ett antal ett antal ramar eller regler för ett material eller ett händelseförlopp, för att sedan låta utförandets konsekvenser skapa konstverket. Ofta blir dokumentationen av tillblivelseprocessen själva verket. I videofilmen ”Hello World”, får vi följa en slemsvamps tillväxt och vandring i jakt på mat. Genom att locka den med havregrynsgröt strategiskt placerad och på så sätt lura den att skriva ett meddelande till omvärlden. I uppföljaren ”THE_” är timlapsfotograferingen klippt och dramatiserad i bästa Hollywoodstil där slemsvampen får agera ett hot, en ”varelse” som ligger på lur och smyger sig på havregrynsgröten.
Inspirerad av slemsvampens tillväxt och rörelse började jag teckna och skulptera medvetet omedvetet”.
Under våren och sommaren 2022 har hon deltagit i projektet ”Havet som, Omger oss”, där 10 konstnärer och tio bygdegårdar i Stockholms skärgård arbetade tillsammans i process- och deltagarbaserade konstprojekt som involverade lokalbefolkningen och fokuserade på relationen mellan människan och havet, om ansvarstagande handlingar och perspektiv. Annelie Wallin är bosatt i Stockholm och utbildad på konsthögskolan där 1989-94. Hon arbetar med teckning, skulptur, foto och video, samt med offentlig gestaltning och platsspecifika process- och deltagarbaserade projekt. Wallin är verksam på den konstnärsdrivna konstscenen sedan 2004 och har de senaste åren ställt ut på gallerier i Sverige, Tyskland, Grekland och Kanada, tillsammans med ID:I galleri.

Annelie Wallin lives in Stockholm and holds a MFA from Art Academy in Stockholm 1989-94. She works with drawing, sculpture, photography and video, as well as with public art commissons and site specific process- and participant-based projects. Wallin has been active in the artist-driven art scene since 2004 and in recent years has exhibited at galleries in Sweden, Germany, Greece and Canada, together with ID:I galleri.
”In March 2023 I participated in the group exhibition ”Station to Station” here at the gallery with two drawings under the project name ”Human Printer”. The drawings and sculptures that I am now showing are a continuation and deepening of that work. I often set up a number of a number of frames or rules for a material or a course of events, and then let the consequences of the execution create the work of art. Often the documentation of the creation process becomes the work itself. In the video ”Hello World”, we get to follow the growth and migration of a slime fungus in search of food. By luring it with strategically placed oatmeal and thus tricking it into writing a message to the outside world. In the sequel ”THE_”, the time-lapse photography is cut and dramatized in the best Hollywood style, where the slime fungus is allowed to act as a threat, a ”creature” that lies in wait and sneaks up on the oatmeal.
Inspired by the growth and movement of the slime fungus, I began to draw and sculpt consciously unconsciously”.
During the spring and summer of 2022, she participated in the project ”The sea that surrounds us”, where 10 artists and ten community centers in the Stockholm archipelago worked together in process and participant-based art projects that involved the local community and focused on the relationship between man and the sea, on responsible actions and perspective.
